 | As they bless our lives with diversity, we realize that each animal represents an aspect of our own humanity: an otter, innocence and joy; a leopard, stealth, independence and aspiration; a parrot, an ability to find the irony in experience. We have found innovative works representing animals; those that find a way to provide witness to ourselves. What is amazing is the depth of self-discovery that occurs when we find ourselves in the company and realm of animals. When we are wide awake we seek to make their existence better. In turn, when we seek beauty we find it in the eyes of an animal.

 | THE FORGOTTEN OBJECTS OF THE AMERICAN LANDSCAPE by ROSA STRANDEMO
"I am a photographer who grew up enjoying the natural beauty of Minnesota. This inspired me to photograph more American settings. I started to capture images of the landscape when I was exploring the roads, but then I would come across objects that seemed out of their natural element. By capturing these unnatural objects, I gave the photographs of the scene a new perspective. Sometimes the objects became more important than the landscape, so I took close-ups of them to get this across to my viewers. Let these photographs challenge your perception of the landscape. They offer an element of surprise and can ultimately alter the way you view landscapes. The focus on forgotten objects should help you see beauty that is often overlooked." - Rosa Strandemo

 | Welcome to Caladan's Members' Gallery. There is a mutual attraction between the Gallery and the artists that come to us with their extraordinary and unusual work. We maintain the artistic integrity of the expression of reality, both individual and collective, through visual truth. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to do this on a continuous basis through the artists that share our uncommon direction. Here you will find their portfolios.

| CALADAN GALLERY presents visual art in the spirit of the maintenance of artistic integrity in the virtual community. We provide artists of all periods of development the opportunity to form an artistic society in which their visual expression is a vehicle for dialogue and communion in chaotic and confusing global environment. We have monthly juried group exhibitions which focus on subjects of depth, timeliness, and interpretive expansiveness. We also offer opportunities for artists to become juried members, displaying a good amount of their individual artwork. The act of exhibiting on the CALADAN site affords artists great exposure in the virtual, global community. It is also an opportunity to be part of a growing and thriving international art universe.
