"My work is finally about time and our personal response to it - it moves and stands still. It is about the layers of impressions both literally and metaphorically. I work in mixed media and collage using my own monotypes, etchings and handmade paper. My work is often layered just as the impressions on our minds and beings. I grew up in India, but have spent most of my adult life in the west - My work is a response to the things that move me - the deeply familiar - in juxtaposition with the truly foreign. It is also about transformation, how we take the alien and make it our own."
