There are moments in time in which we do not put up a wall of separation between ourselves and that which is thriving around us. During these times, we are intimately connected, allowing the freedom of interaction with the beauty of reality to exist, if only for a moment. We go through our lives in a constant state of expectation, in whatever form it takes, every hour an hour of desperate accomplishment. To realize the ever-present quality of time is a gift. Joanne Rose Foley captures natural beauty with particular attention paid to color, but it is within the simplicity of form and structure that the greatest impact is felt. To observe these works is to observe stillness, and to re-connect with our own reason.
