More than anything else I like to sculpt in pure silver. This is a one-of-a-kind hand sculpted ring in pure silver with a braided sterling shank, size 8. I call her “Girl with a Stone.” I tried to capture the dreamy, wistful nature of the creation of art in the face of the tiny figure who holds not a stone, but a piece of deep maroon pressed Bavarian glass. It has been deliberately oxidized to bring out the fine detail of the work.
This work has sold. The new owner comments: "Donna, I just want to let you know how astounding this ring is! At the risk of sounding too "New Ageish," (I'm an old crone, practicing Wicca since the mid 70's), as I was putting the ring on, I felt this blast of clear cool familiar energy.
