Linda Alterwitz has provided a path to follow through her lush surfaces to the substantial presence of the inner energies and realms of these works. The photographs present themselves in layers, both visually and personally. There is a perspective present that is manifest through the light of the digital eye, and the color which is brought forth as a result of it. The color and its impact is present in the subjects and their surroundings, but is magnified by the manipulation of the camera by the artist. Not necessarily manipulation technically or digitally, but primarily aesthetically. It is the attention paid to this action that makes for a successful reflection of the observational content of the artist's personal world.
